Statement
or purpose:
Streetpeddler.com's
goal is to bring the diversity and fun of shopping the streets of NYC
to your home. We are a family owned and operated business located 60 minutes
outside of NYC in Westport, Connecticut. Our goal is to meld art and commerce
and come up with a vibrant, exciting and unique place to shop (just like
NYC). There really is no other city like NYC and no other website quite
like Streetpeddler.com.
Our customers
appreciate being able to shop for items that you probably won't find at
the local mall. Every mall tends to sell the exact same products coast
to coast. There are fewer and fewer options if you are looking for something
outside the norm. There is a saying that "If you can't buy it on the streets
of NYC, it doesn't exist!" Well that may or may not be true, but we work
hard to come up with stuff that you can't find anywhere else. We get much
of our merchandise from the same sources that the street peddlers do.
Since NYC is this nation's fashion and cultural capital we have an endless
stream of the latest styles along with unusual merchandise to pick and
choose from.
The "heart
& soul" of Streetpeddler.com is created by veteran designer Curt Belshe
cbelshe@streetpeddler.com.
He consistently exceeds any of the creative expectations that we might
have on this project. He has so many good ideas, it is scary!
The "nuts
& bolts" of the site are assembled and maintained by John Hartwell and
his team at Triangle Research www.triangleresearch.com.
Whatever unusual programming requests we throw at them, the only response
we ever get from John is "no problem". Gotta love it!
The warehouse
is maintained by Austin Albert. It is Austin's organizational skills that
enable us to ship your orders out the SAME DAY! If you order it, he knows
how to find it.
Quality
control and pricing on all the toys is handled by Chloe Albert . If you
like the LOW prices and durability of our toys, you can thank her. She
personally tests every toy line we carry. If she doesn't break it within
30 minutes, odds are it will last the average kid a long...long time.
And then
there's me, Brian Albert. My job is in fact a very hard one. My job is
to basicly stay out of everyone's way!
We hope
you like our site and come back often. There is always something NEW popping
up! If you have any merchandise that you think might be a good fit for
our company, send me an email. I am always looking for "stuff
you can't get at the mall".
